More tips

We are in the process of setting up and furnishing the house.  I went to Sears and picked up a fridge, freezer, and tv.  We have completed the patio.  I still need to get a survey.  Then we can get the yard put in I paid an extra $1000 for the whole yard to be sod.  Figured it would save time since one of the doggies prefers to poop on the carpet instead of the weed bed/swamp across the street.

Luci in "time out" haha (coincidence) who could punish that little creature!?

We also got our garage door installed today.  The shower door people came in and removed my glass door to put the correct one in.  One of the biggest improvements was the removal of the water saver from the master shower.  Water pressure at least doubled.  For which I am eternally grateful to my wife who made that happen along with installing a ceiling fan while I was at work!  She's awesome.

I noticed the sidewalk that connects to the driveway has cracked and chipped.  Thanks God I did not pay for that concrete work on the side or RH would been like "Nah baby nah" when I asked for it to be fixed.  There are a few dents in the floor plate where the garage door leading into the laundry.

Not good but its warrantied

Sears got all the stuff utilizing a friend who is an associate.  Got 20% off for her discount plus we did this on a friend and family day sale when she is allowed to do it.  The sale discounted the fridge and freezer got another 15% off and the tv 5%.

Utilized a gentleman locally who installs garage doors as a hobby.  He charged $330 for the installation.  I am pretty sure that's less than RH or local companies.  If you are in the greater Cincinnati area his name is "Lanny" and his number is 859-620-9621.  53 years of experience.

I also set up my novelty gift in the corner of the basement.  Any male born in 1972-76 should recognize this from the local arcade.  Arcades were places with computer games in really big boxes.  You put a quarter in the box and got to play a game for about 10 minutes if you were good.

  4. You must be very lucky with a handy wife with you and a neighbor having garage installation for a hobby. Isn't that cool? Anyway, since Lanny could be just a few steps away from your house, you could consider consulting him about adding security features in your garage. As you know, the garage is not just meant to make our house exterior look pretty, they should keep our vehicles secure. Keep safe!
