It ain't over till its over

I have hijacked my wife's account since my computer is laying on the floor.  So I am blogging first time ever on her I Pad.  It's very different than the pc and even the most mundane things like adding photos is sooo convoluted.  Any who, I unlike many other will not be silenced simply from moving into the home.  The blog rolls on!  Don't get me wrong my back is killing me and I almost fell asleep at 6pm for sure.

Here are a few photos of the patio.  This was completed by Groh Contractors 513-532-6927 in one day for this in the greater Cincinnati area.  They were very reasonable and friendly.  They are on Facebook and the web.

I logged in from the pc today and cleaned up this post a little as it needed it.

Rear Patio

Slightly higher than $6 per sq foot.

  2. Looks really great. We were going to do this as one of the first projects after moving in and allowing the ground to settle.. If yo don't mind sharing, how much do they charge per square foot? How deep is the concrete, and do they use footers? Thanks!

    1. Just north of $6 per foot that is stamped. They gave us the following quote.

      3,600 for broom brush
$4,000 for the stamped (We got)
      $4,400 for the tiled stuff.

Now when he found out I worked for the local police department he knocked it down to $3,700. Since he had several fireman and police officer family members. So if you or your husband is in the bizz you may want to mention it since once in a blue moon it has a positive impact.

    2. The tiled is more since it is a 2 day job and requires them to change the color of the concrete etc.

Also said he would seal the driveway for .50 cents per square foot.

    3. Very valuable information and will potentially save us a ton of money. We were given estimates of $12 to $15 a square foot. Knowledge is power. Thank you again.

  3. Thanks for continuing to blog! The patio went up fast and looks great. We have a walkout too and eventually wanted to do something similar to this (deck w/ stairs to a patio off the basement walkout).
